Orders, delivery, and fabrication

We take exceptional care with both the development of our products and the delivery of them to make sure you get everything you need for an installation exactly when you need it.

Placing an order

The simplest way to place your order is to email our sales team or use the interactive form supplied in your price list.

Important things to note:

  • Products are differentiated by code and this must be stated when ordering.

  • Any special order requirements, for example maximum package size or weight to assist with manual handling, must be stated on the order.

  • Local orders placed before 2pm will be despatched on the following day. For more information on delivery times, see delivery cut-off times section below

Tips for simpler ordering

  • Make the order process quicker and easier by using the order form contained in your pricelist.

  • Keep your account payments up to date to avoid delays in order processing.

  • Email your order through with clear delivery and contact details.

  • Call your customer service rep prior to ordering to discuss any uncertainties or clarify any special requirements.

  • Always provide a job name or order number with each order.

  • Clearly label and dimension your drawings with detailed fabrication instructions.

  • Always allow sufficient lead times for order fabrication and/or delivery.


Returning a product

In the unlikely event that you need to return any products, please follow the procedure as outlined below so we can process your return and credit in a timely manner.

Goods being returned must meet the following conditions:

Goods must be within 90 days of invoice date.


Goods must be in a new and re-saleable condition (scratch/dent free, no stains).


Please note:

Proof of purchase must be included (invoice and/or packing slip number).


All returned goods incur a 5% re-stocking fee.


Any goods returned unpackaged or missing fixings will incur a 15% re-stocking fee.


The following goods are not refundable:

Any PPE / harness gear not in original packaging.


Static line cable cut and swaged to order.


Custom or bespoke manufactured products made to order.


If the above conditions are met and the RMA form is fully filled in and sent with proof of purchase to sales@kattsafe.com.au, we will process the credit in a timely manner.


Delivery Details

While there are several factors involved in delivering orders on time, we try to make it as simple as possible with clear order cut off times and ordering procedures, helping you understand exactly when you need to order to get your products on time.

Special notes:

  • Collection and same day delivery orders are based on standard sized orders. Large order lead times will need to be discussed with customer service.

  • Changes to delivery details will be accepted up to 1 hour prior to scheduled dispatch time. Changes made after that window will move the dispatch time to the following day.

  • For collection orders, customers are advised to call Kattsafe Customer Service prior to arrival.

  • Kattsafe does not operate a trade counter. Any orders placed on-site will incur a minimum of 30 minutes wait time, subject to order size.

  • Customer order collections or deliveries required outside of standard business hours (6:30am – 4:30pm) will need to be approved by the Customer Service and Dispatch team 24hrs prior to the dispatch time.

  • Cash on delivery (COD) or non-account orders will not be processed untill full payment is received.

To simplify our fabrication lead times, we have categorised all our available products into 4 distinct categories. So, depending on the type of product you need fabricated, you can see at a glance what the lead times are.

Category 1
Stock Fab - Standard

Products in this category have a dedicated Kattsafe product code and selling price and are off the shelf products (not including bulk orders).

Lead time: None

  • No customer sign off on drawings is required

  • Bulk quantities will incur additional lead time

Category 2
Stock Fab - Non Standard

Products in this category have a dedicated Kattsafe product code and selling price, but are NOT sold off the shelf.

Lead time: 4 days

  • Product design does not change, only critical dimensions

  • No customer sign off on drawings is required

  • Customer to receive confirmation via interactive PDF

  • Bulk quantities will incur additional lead time

Category 3
Custom Fab - Standard

Products in this category have a factory code (FC) in place of a Kattsafe code.

Lead time: 10 days + (estimated)

  • 4 days lead time for drawings and customer sign off, plus 6 days fabrication and QA

  • Requires customer sign off on CAD drawing

  • Uses standard aluminium extrusions and components

  • Does not require excessive design time (up to 2 hours)

Category 4
Custom Fab - Non Standard

Products in this category have a factory code (FC) in place of a Kattsafe code and require a full design.

Lead time: 20 days + (estimated)

  • Requires a design service quote using code AD1903 before a final product quote can be issued

  • 5 days design time, 5 days prototyping time and customer sign off, and 10 days fabrication time and Q.A.

  • Estimated times always depend on customer sign off

  • Can use standard or nonstandard aluminium extrusions and components

  • Requires customer sign off on CAD drawing

  • Additional fees for engineer computations and design may be required
