This video will act as an overview of the Kombi stairways and platforms by Sayfa which we at IGS BIM Solutions have created native Revit families. Or you can find the products by going to the modular access systems and clicking on the Kattsafe website, which will send you to the dedicated page for this product where you can find stairs, platforms, free standing walkways and suspended walkway products.

Now, if we move into Revit, we've got a section of the virtual showroom here showcasing all the different products and all the different types. We'll start off with the left, working from simplest to most complex.

These are non hosted families, which just means that they can be placed freely in the Revit workspace. These can be copy and pasted it into any project and when placing these you can rotate them using spacebar or you can rotate them after placing with the rotate tool.

Now, as you'll see, they come in three different type configurations. We've got the 600 series, the 900 series, and the 1200 series all lined up next to each other. And we've got some parameters to be able to control them how we like. So, for example, we've got the manufacturer height from FFL, which will change the height from the associated level.

So if we need to change this to 500, we can do so and the height will adjust accordingly. You can also change the stair height so we can change this to, for example, three metres, and that will adjust the supports needed as well as the number of treads needed. For which riser a height and going can also be adjusted here. We've also got here a required space parameter which shows the clearances required for these stairs which can be toggled on and off when necessary.

Moving onto the Kombi stair and platform family here, we've got a couple of different types. We've got families with these roof mounts and we've also got families with roof and roll mounts. These also come in a similar type to the stair family, which are the 600 and 900 and 1200 series and if we begin here with the KS20 product, it will have a similar parameter to the stair family we just went through. You can see the manufacturer height from FFL parameters for beam 80 or beam 180 configurations, riser height and going width as well.

So quite similar. But you can see there's also a couple of different parameters here. We've also got platform height and length and we've got roof offset and roof pitch. Now what this allows us to do is to adjust our mounts accordingly to the project environment.

So if I adjust this roof here to be only three metres high, to have a five degree pitch that will adjust that. And now that no longer meets up with the mounts. We will change this to five degrees and change the offset to 200 millimeters and that adjusts them to meet up with the roof here. Well, when a bit too far, but that's the gist.

Now with the KS20R, you can see that they've also got wall mounts here. So if I was to move this wall by 160, I can change the wall offset by 160 as well and right there it adjusts that in the model space. With these families, going back to the parameter I mentioned earlier, we can explore the construction type so we can decide between the beam 80 or the beam 180 aluminum extrusion options. If we tick this, we will see that the platform at the top of the stairs will switch to become a larger extrusion.

We can also change the platform type independently using the selector. You can see that one is the 600 series, two is the 900 and 1200 series is three. So if we change this to two, we can adjust that to become the 900 series platform. Moving on to the next set of families, we've got the free standing platforms with single stair.

Again in the 600, 900 and 1200 series and they have similar parameters to our previous families. We've got platform height, platform length, desired riser height which can be adjusted when necessary. And as you can see, that adds more treads on the stair to match up with the adjustments we just made. We've also got the required space parameter here and we also have the option again to change to beam 180.

That KS30L have got the options to select the platform type. So these have got the single stair at the 600 series, but they've got the platform with the 1200 series here due to the type selector here. We can change this to the 600 series by adjusting that and we're back to the 600 series. The other platform types we've got are similar, but will have a left exit.

We've also got one with the right exit platform option also. Moving on to the two stage platform families, we've got a couple of different options. We've got the in-line two stage and we've also got the L-shape and the U-shaped variations as well. If I begin with the in line to stage platform, if we have a look at the parameters available to us here, we can see they have the two options, two different platform heights and lengths.

And we've also got the two different riser heights and riser goings. Now with this series here, we can adjust the two different platform height and as you can see that adjusts the number of treads that we need for it to reach that new height. And this also allows us to change these again to beam 180. With the two stage L-shape families, however you can see that we can adjust the platform type selector from the lower platform here so I can adjust this to the 900 series and that will change that but not the higher platform which will match the series type of the family, which you can change by changing the type.

With the U-shape to stage platform and stairs we do not have that option. It is purely type based, but quite similarly to the in line to stage, you can adjust the platform, height and length. All these families have got both a left and right option as well. Going further down in the showroom, the next family that we've got available is similar to the first single step flat platform in the Kombi range.

However, this family, the K70 range, gives the opportunity to provide a different platform to the stair type on this family. For example, we've got the 600 series stairs, with a much wider platform of the 900 series utilising the platform selector parameter which was not available in the KS30 stair and platform parameters for example. We can change this to the 1200 series and that will change the model and push the stair to the side. The other parameters available in this are like the first and are quite standard platform, height and length, etc.

Now if we move on to our freestanding walkway families with these walkways, you can have their required space turned on as well. And we can also adjust our walkway height and length and these supports will adjust accordingly dependent on the span requirements detailed out by Sayfa. Whether it is beam 80 or beam 180, the supports change based on the minimum spend requirements for both. You can also turn on the stairs like the other two families here we've got the 900 series and the 1200 series types and we've also got similar parameters to other families.

Now the next family is the walkways that are suspended with mounting from above. So these have also got the required space parameter and appending as stairs as well as you can change from the beam 80 to the beam 180 extrusions. And as you can see the supports change dependent on the desired drop height here. So if this is currently set to six metres, which is I believe the minimum of these types of supports, so if we go lower than that, which is four metres, it will change its supports accordingly.

The other parameters we have again are like the other families, we've got the ability to change the walkway length and height, riser height and going for the stairs and required space as necessary. Available in the suspended walkway family range is the option to have a sloped support option for the pitched roofs, so we will be able to adjust the roof pitch parameter, for example, to ten degrees. That will adjust the support pitch while still maintaining a support requirement for a much higher drop height. Onto the next set of families we have available here this is the bridge stair system.

So as you can see here, this is the KS100 and we've got the KS100 left and right as well. So for these the parameters that are available, let's see what we've got. Similarly, the construction type for beam 80 is that we've still got height from FFL and we've got the platform height and length as well. Let me just change that.

Also again available in the different series types and that adjusts the number of supports required for the stairs and treads similarly to the other stair family. Lastly, the families we're going to be looking are the Kombi cooling tower platforms. Now, as you can see, we've got here the 600, 900 and 1200 series. The higher platforms you will see they show a cage on the ladder.

So we've got it here as a visibility parameter. If I increase the platform height more, this will start showing the cage, which we can turn off and we can also turn on and off a lockable door if needed, which will stop access to that cooling tower. We've also got a cooling tower radius which we can adjust it to three metres that will adjust the internal radius of the cooling tower platform family and add any additional supports necessary for that walkway platform. And that is the full range of Kombi stairs, walkways and platforms for Revit library.

I hope this has been very useful. There is a Revit user guide as well available, which will have a lot of these details and instructions for the Kombi range as well as any other range that you may have want to have a look at it.
