This video will provide a overview of the Revit content created for the range of Kattsafe needles. So just on the Kattsafe website here, we have three separate products being the 400, eight hundred and twelve hundred millimeter A Frame sizes. In terms of the Revit components, we have created three Revit families to represent each of these three particular products. So just jumping into the virtual showroom here.
Each row here is essentially all of the types laid out for those three families. You'll see that we have the 400 A Frame at the front, the 800 A Frame and then the 1,200 A Frame. So within each of these three families, we do have a range of preconfigured types. These are essentially comprised of the combinations between the various cantilevers that are achievable for each as well as the real mounting options.
So each product has a total of seven interchangeable real amounts, as you can see here. Some of these are able to be integrated into the rigid rails, which I will go through later in this video.
But we also have in the types the appropriate cantilever selection. So, essentially, this group of seven are the 1,200 cantilevers for the 400 a frame. Then we have the 1,500 cantilever with all seven rear mount options. When we step up to the eight hundred and twelve hundred a frame, we do have the additional 1,800 millimeter cantilever option as well, which is why these ones are a bit more populated. In terms of placement, these are non hosted, so we're able to sort of freely select a level and rotate and place in open space.
We can nominate a height from that level that is done through the manufacturer height from FFL parameter. Alternatively, we do have the same ability to manipulate that vertical offset from the level using the built in elevation from level parameter.
Jumping into a plan view here, and if I select one, we do have these grip arrows, which we can use to very easily adjust the back span dimension. And you'll notice as I drag this sort of very close, under the dimensions, we do have, that being automatically validated to only go as far as the minimum will allow. Similarly, as I drag this right out, it will default to the maximum being six meters for this particular component.
If I cut a section looking at this from the side, we do as well have, grip arrows here provided to allow for driving the angle and also adjustments that might be required where our rear mount needs to fix to a point that's lower than where our a frame is positioned. So we might have this a frame sort of fixed off to the top of a parapet and then a rigid rail down at a lower level that can be done via the, the height adjustment grip arrows provided here.
I will, later in this video, go through how we are able to integrate this particular rear mount into the rigid rail. While I'm here, we can also see that I'm able to use the needle fully extended parameter to toggle between showing the needle, in the fully extended or fully retracted position.
Just quickly wanna highlight some of the interaction between the rope access needle components and the rigid rail content. So just focusing on those needle types that have a vertical or horizontal trolley type elected as the rear mount, I'll just bring these roughly in line with, our horizontal metal deck Raptor rigid rail and our vertical metal deck rigid rail. And I'm just going to come to a plan view for this and bring them roughly in line. Coming to a section, we can use the inbuilt Revit align tool, and we're going to select in the horizontal instance the rail front reference and align that with the rear mount align horizontal reference within the needle.
Then we're going to select the top reference of the rigid rail and align that with the rear mount align vertical reference within the needle.
Back to a floor plan and coming into our section, I'll just again select, the top of the rigid rail instance and locate and click the rear mount align vertical.
And in this case, we're going to select the center front back within that rigid rail instance. And again, we're going to align that with the rear mount align horizontal.
So you can see there going to a three d view, we've been able to achieve an integrated system where we have a needle, with an appropriate trolley type that's integrating with the appropriate rigid rail system.
