Introducing: Kattsafe industrial modular access

We’ve been manufacturing innovative modular access systems you can count on for over 10 years.
And now, we’re taking things to new heights with the introduction of our stair tower system, the first of our new industrial modular access range.

Made from high-strength aluminium and with more scalability in less footprint, this stair tower can go where others simply can’t.

PHIVE Parramatta Council Hub, Sydney NSW

PHIVE is Parramatta’s new community, cultural and civic hub, located in the heart of Parramatta’s CBD, and is positioned as an architectural icon, with a bold design by award-winning French architect Manuelle Gautrand, in partnership with Australian architecture firms Lacoste + Stevenson and DesignInc.

PHIVE, Parramatta City’s new state-of-the-art community hub, features an intricate and visually striking façade that forms a key part of the building’s architectural identity.

Maintaining this complex exterior safely and efficiently required a reliable rope access system. However, a conventional system risked visually disrupting the lattice structure and detracting from the clean, contemporary design envisioned by the architects.

The challenge was to integrate a façade maintenance solution that met stringent safety and access requirements, while remaining virtually invisible within the building’s architecture.

Solution

To meet both functional and aesthetic demands, we worked with the architects and building designers on a design using our rigid 130 rail system to provide a streamlined rope access solution.

Installed on both sides of the highest section of the facade, the system provides a secure and robust means for façade maintenance without compromising on performance or compliance, ensuring maintenance personnel can access all parts of the intricate design.

To ensure seamless integration, the rail was powder-coated to precisely match the colour of the lattice structure onto which it was installed. This careful finish allowed the system to blend effortlessly into the façade, eliminating visual disruption and preserving the architectural intent of the building.

The result is a discreet, high-performance access solution that supports ongoing maintenance while respecting and enhancing PHIVE’s design integrity.
