The situation
The large on-site tanks needed a high-strength access system to traverse easily from one tank to another. Workers also needed a smooth solution to view the tanks from above to conduct regular work tasks.
The size of the tanks proved a challenge for regular access systems, and the site required a fast and easy installation to ensure no time wastage for the facility.

Solution
Due to the sheer size of the tanks and the support structures available, we knew our modular access systems were the perfect solution for this unique project.
Initial concepts were drawn up on the Kattsafe Builda, saving cost and time upfront for the client, as regular steel systems usually require a cost to quote, and our configurator is completely free to use.
After discussions with the L & G Meats and Anchor Safe teams, the final design was manufactured and delivered flat-packed to the site.
Several elevated walkway platforms were installed using heavy-duty support structures and included various access solutions such as extra stairs and rung ladders for access to the varying levels required.

Multiple other areas of the facility required access systems, so steps and access platforms were installed around the site as well.
The client was impressed at how quickly the team could install the complete system, finishing sooner than expected, which was a great outcome for everyone involved.
