Solution

Kattsafe worked in with Britesafe to install a unique rolling rope access davit system on this building.

Aesthetics in design is always on the radar for those who work in the architect sector, so when the Kattsafe Design Team suggested to conceal the rigid rail within the parapet for the davits to slide along, it was received with open arms. The alternative to this would have been to have fixed locations for the floor mounted davits, which wouldn’t have been as aesthetic pleasing and provide less manoeuvrability for the working at height system users.

Other Kattsafe products that were installed on this building were wall mount fall arrest anchors on levels 1, 2 and 3. Anchor strops, top mount fall arrest anchors, wall mount static lines and ladder support brackets were installed on the mezzanine floor canopy.

Our New Product Development Team here at Kattsafe are ever on the lookout for ways to accommodate all stakeholder requirements, and the outcome of this project design was pleasing to see.

Some of our staff at Kattsafe were able to make a site visit, along with our New Product Development Team to this building to view Kattsafe products in action, and to better understand the design and engineering specifications involved with this project.
