Installation through and within confined areas and roof cavities necessitated a modular, adaptable system that could be fitted around the many obstacles. As a portion of the work was to be carried out via abseil rope lines, lightweight components that could be constructed without the need for welding or specialist tools were required.

Solution
Kattsafe access systems were selected in this project due to their modularity, flexibility, lightweight construction and easy assembly.
Concept drawings for the project were sketched up and upon approval production began in our Melbourne facility. Once completed the access systems were delivered flat packed to site.
It had been discussed that the only way these systems could be installed was by feeding the individual components through small access hatches. Once in situ they were then able to be assembled inside the roof space.
The fully adjustable, spanning capability of the Kattsafe systems was additionally a crucial factor as they had to span between roof trusses due to limited structural supports within the roof.
Kattsafe modular access systems, with their ability to be adjusted “on the fly”, ensured ease of install and provided a perfect fit for purpose system.
